In fact it was the former Prince of Wales who said on the industry fair in Birmingham in 1927: "The young business and professional men of this country must get together ROUND the TABLE,

• ADOPT methods that proves so sound in the past,
• ADAPT them to the changing needs of the times and, whenever possible,
• IMPROVE them", which created the up to date slogan of Round Table International

Tabeling started after the concept was brought in from Germany and Austria. Tablers from RT 49 Weiden and RT Linz helped our founding members to ADOPT, ADAPT and IMPROVE ideas and practises functioning all around Western Europe and indeed already in some former Eastern bloc countries. RT1 Bruxelles got involved heavily with the Prague Tablers and thus in autumn 1992 in short succession RT1 Prague and RT2 České Budějovice were chartered. Especially the Prague charter went down in history for more than 600 Tablers from all over Europe participated
